Day 1
Arrival & Grounding

What Guests Ask
Do I need any mining experience?
Not at all. Our expert guides provide full training on tool use, safety, and technique. Most of our guests are first-time miners. Children ages 12+ are welcome with adult supervision.
What do I actually get to keep?
Everything you find during your dig sessions is yours to keep. In the Prospector package, you keep all specimens. Collector includes up to 5 lbs of select quartz. Sovereign has no limit — guests have gone home with 50+ lbs of museum-grade material.
How physically demanding is this?
Mining involves bending, kneeling, and light digging. We provide kneepads, gloves, and rest breaks every 45 minutes. The mines have seated digging areas for those who prefer less physical work. If you have mobility concerns, contact us and we will customize your experience.
What if I don't find anything valuable?
While we cannot guarantee a specific find (that's part of the magic), our guides use geological surveys and dowsing to direct you to high-probability zones. Plus, every guest receives a premium "starter kit" of hand-selected specimens so you never leave empty-handed.
Are the mines safe?
Absolutely. All partner mines are fully insured, OSHA-compliant, and staffed with certified safety guides. We provide helmets, lights, and safety briefings. In 3 years of retreats, we have maintained a 100% safety record.
